Eastern Water Dragons are a common sight on the Sunshine Coast. They are strong swimmers and can be found near creeks, rivers, lakes and other bodies of water, especially where there are nice sunny basking sites.
We saw this one on a kayaking trip on the Upper Noosa River, where the water is stained dark with tannins and is often so still that reflections are perfectly mirrored.
